MBI Annual Meeting

We had our Annual MBI Pre Season Meeting this last Sunday with 6 clubs in attendance. We went over the By-Laws, Tournament Rules, Tournament Day Itinerary and Tournament Procedures. We set the tournament limits to be from bridge to bridge and the time line to be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. We were not successful in changing the off-limits time frame from 6 days to 2. This was voted down 4 clubs to 1. We also received payment from four clubs with the fifth club going back to their members to discuss the off limits rule. They have one person in their club that fishes the BFL and there is a rather larger BFL tournament that weekend so they are thinking about converting their club into two separate clubs one that fishes the BFL and one that doesn’t. This would allow the rest of the membership to participate in the MBI. We had 7 clubs scheduled to be there but the Detroit Bass Club didn’t show. I will follow-up with them and find out if they are still interested. At this time we are looking for a Tournament Director for the MBI this year, if Mark makes the final 8 he will be fishing the tournament so we are looking for volunteers at this time.
